ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Owners report electrical system issues in the 2024 Infiniti QX60, with some describing engine stalling after exposure to water, such as after a car wash, and sudden engine shutdowns while driving at highway speeds. Complaints frequently mention malfunctioning Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including failures in Automatic Emergency Braking and Parking Collision Warning systems, with one incident leading to a minor crash. Electrical issues also include rear windows lowering by themselves and side mirrors failing to unfold, often starting around six months into ownership and at approximately 31,500 miles. Safety implications are significant, as these problems can lead to loss of vehicle control and increased risk of accidents, particularly in heavy traffic or adverse weather conditions.
Owners of the 2024 Infiniti QX60 report several issues related to visibility and wipers. A common issue involves a distorted view through the windshield, particularly noticeable at night due to a double image effect, which is reportedly linked to vehicles equipped with a heads-up display. Another frequently mentioned problem is the vibration of the driver-side door mirror glass, which can blur the image and affect lane change safety; this issue is noted to be present across multiple vehicles and confirmed by a dealership, though no fix is available. Additionally, some owners describe water being pushed onto the driver's side window by the windshield wiper during moderate to heavy rain, causing streaks that obscure visibility through the driver's side mirror. These issues are reported across various vehicles, including test drives and loaners, but specific mileage ranges are not mentioned.
Owner complaints2
UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Owners of the 2024 Infiniti QX60 report issues with the driver's side mirror assembly and the panoramic sunroof. Complaints frequently mention the driver's side mirror vibrating at low speeds even after replacement, with the dealership and customer service indicating it is within engineering specifications. Additionally, there is a report of the panoramic sunroof exploding while driving on the highway without any apparent external cause. These issues are noted around the 15,000-mile mark. The mirror vibration is described as a distraction, while the sunroof incident could pose a safety risk due to the potential for sudden glass breakage.
