Reliability verdict for the 2025 Kia Sorento

With a score slightly below the segment average, the 2025 Kia Sorento reads as generally solid but not class-leading for reliability. The data points to a modest gap versus peers rather than a clear outlier in either direction.

Complaints are not evenly spread. They cluster most heavily in the powertrain, with electrical-system reports forming a secondary tier, while the remaining categories contribute smaller shares. That pattern suggests risk is more concentrated in core driveline and electronics than broadly distributed across the vehicle. Recall activity is elevated, indicating more factory corrective actions than a limited-recall year.

Overall, the Sorento presents a moderate buyer risk level with above-average exposure tied to powertrain and electrical concerns.
