STEERING
Owners report that the 2024 Jeep Gladiator experiences significant steering issues, with multiple complaints highlighting a severe "death wobble" at speeds over 55 mph, causing the vehicle to vibrate violently and making it difficult to maintain control. One report describes the vehicle pulling to the left despite the steering wheel being held straight, which led to a loss of control and an accident. Additionally, a separate incident involves a fire originating from the front passenger side under the hood shortly after parking. These issues, particularly the loss of control and fire, present significant safety implications for potential buyers.
Owners of the 2024 Jeep Gladiator report several significant issues, primarily involving electrical malfunctions and a fire incident. Multiple reports describe the head unit becoming inoperable, affecting radio, climate control, and the back-up camera, which typically resolves after a 30-minute vehicle shutdown. Another common issue involves the vehicle unexpectedly shutting off while driving, leading to a complete loss of electrical systems, brakes, and steering, with one owner detailing repeated occurrences and temporary resolution by disconnecting the battery. Additionally, a fire under the hood, resulting in a total vehicle loss, is reported following a recent battery replacement. These issues present serious safety implications, including potential loss of vehicle control and fire hazards, which are crucial considerations for prospective buyers.
Owners of the 2024 Jeep Gladiator report issues related to unexpected acceleration and problems with the adaptive cruise control system. One complaint describes the vehicle accelerating to approximately 25 MPH without the accelerator being pressed when shifting into first gear, occurring around 11,000 miles. Another owner reports the adaptive cruise control failing to disengage when braking, leading to a near-collision at an intersection, also at approximately 11,000 miles. These incidents suggest potential safety implications due to unintended vehicle movement and inadequate braking response. Buyers should be aware of these issues, particularly in vehicles around the 11,000-mile mark.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Owners report issues with the 2024 Jeep Gladiator's electrical system, specifically involving the infotainment and power systems. Complaints frequently mention that the infotainment system displays persistent warning messages that obstruct access to navigation and essential controls, with problems beginning around 3,000 miles. Another reported issue involves the alternator failing at approximately 20,000 miles, leading to firm steering, illuminated warning lights, and overheating. Buyers should be aware of these recurring electrical issues and their potential impact on vehicle operation.
