Reliability verdict for the 2024 Ford Ranger
With a 77/100 reliability score against a 76/100 segment average, the 2024 Ford Ranger lands slightly above the class norm. That points to generally solid reliability rather than standout performance. The complaint volume is meaningful for a single model year, but it does not, by itself, indicate a single dominant failure pattern.
Issue reports cluster most around the powertrain, with a secondary spread across brakes, electrical, and structural areas. That distribution suggests concerns are not confined to one system, even if the powertrain leads the mix. The recall count is elevated, which raises the likelihood of factory-corrected problems affecting ownership experience.
Overall, the data supports an above-average but not low-risk reliability profile, with moderate buyer risk.
