Reliability verdict for the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox
With a 75/100 score against an 82/100 segment average, the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox lands below the class norm for reliability. That gap points to higher-than-typical buyer exposure versus direct competitors, even if the overall picture is not uniformly poor.
Complaints are not evenly spread. They cluster most heavily in visibility/wiper performance, with electrical-system reports also standing out. A meaningful share falls into unknown/other, which limits clarity on where problems concentrate beyond the leading categories. Forward-collision avoidance and service-brake concerns appear present but secondary. Recall activity is elevated, and this is the first year of a new generation, adding uncertainty to early production consistency.
Overall risk level: moderate to moderately elevated compared with the segment average.
