Reliability verdict for the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas

With a 54/100 score against a 75/100 segment average, the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas lands well below typical class reliability. That gap points to elevated buyer risk rather than normal year-to-year variation. Recalls are elevated, reinforcing that this model year carries more corrective activity than most competitors.

Complaint patterns are not confined to a single system. Electrical concerns lead the mix, but braking, powertrain, and engine categories also contribute meaningfully, alongside a sizable share logged as unknown or other. That spread suggests reliability pressure across multiple areas rather than one isolated weak point. As a facelift/refresh year, the data reflects a model in transition with uneven outcomes.

Overall, the Atlas presents an elevated reliability risk relative to the segment.
