STRUCTURE
Owners of the 2025 Lexus NX report two primary structural issues. First, they describe significant distortion in the front windshield glass, leading to unclear and wobbly views of the road, which some say results in dizziness and nausea. This issue is noted across multiple vehicles, suggesting a potential widespread problem. Second, some owners experience snow entering through door jambs, which later melts and causes water accumulation inside the vehicle. These problems are reported at low mileages, with one case specifically mentioning 3,000 miles. Safety implications include compromised visibility due to the windshield distortion, but no crashes or injuries are reported.
Owner complaints2
UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Owners of the 2025 Lexus NX report issues with water intrusion and hydroplaning. One owner describes water pooling on the front passenger floor due to a clogged A/C drain at approximately 1,300 miles, leading to soaked carpet and padding, with potential risks of mold and electrical component corrosion. Another owner reports the vehicle hydroplanes on wet roads at normal highway speeds, attributing the issue to the factory-installed Bridgestone Alenza tires, with an incident occurring on I40 in Nashville. These complaints highlight potential safety implications, including loss of vehicle control and possible impact on electronic systems, which may concern prospective buyers.
Owner complaints2
WHEELS
Owners report issues with rusted lug bolts on the 2025 Lexus NX, with complaints frequently mentioning all 20 lug bolts being affected. Typical symptoms include difficulty in removing or installing the bolts due to rust, and concerns about potential weakening of the studs, which could lead to breakage. These issues are noted at relatively low mileage, around 11,407 miles. While there are no direct reports of crashes or loss of control, the potential for wheels coming loose is a noted concern due to rust. Buyers should be aware of this issue as it may require replacement of the lug bolts, which some dealerships have estimated at around $800.

Remedy
Dealers will inspect and tighten the front brake caliper mounting bracket and hub bearing bolts, as necessary, free of charge. In addition, any damaged components will be replaced, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 23, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 24TA14 and 24LA08.
