2024 Hyundai Venue owner complaints in detail
Owner complaints7
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Owners of the 2024 Hyundai Venue frequently report issues with the vehicle's electrical system, specifically involving the horn and dashboard functionality. Complaints commonly describe the horn becoming inoperative, with some instances occurring as early as 13,000 miles. Additionally, multiple owners mention the dashboard screen going black, which affects visibility of critical information such as speed and fuel levels. These issues are often reported alongside battery discharge problems and malfunctioning dashboard warning lights. Safety implications are noted, with some owners expressing concerns about increased risk of accidents due to the inability to use the horn and loss of essential driving information.
Owner complaints5
UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Owners report several issues with the 2024 Hyundai Venue, notably involving horn functionality, wiring vulnerability, window operation, and the Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system. Complaints frequently mention the horn ceasing to work due to water corrosion, and soy-based wiring attracting rodents, leading to expensive and critical repairs. Additionally, window mechanisms often stick, posing a potential hazard in emergencies. The DAW system is described as excessively sensitive, issuing frequent alerts that distract drivers, especially at highway speeds and during night driving. These issues, particularly those involving safety features and critical components, suggest potential safety implications, although no specific mileage or timeline patterns are highlighted in the reports.
Owner complaints2
STEERING
Owners of the 2024 Hyundai Venue report issues related to the steering system, with one complaint describing a stiff steering wheel and subsequent loss of brake functionality shortly after purchasing a used vehicle with 3,000 miles. This incident led to loss of control, resulting in a flat tire and a detached fender. Another complaint mentions a recurring problem with the horn assembly failing twice within a year. These issues may have safety implications, particularly the steering and brake failure, which resulted in a minor accident and could pose risks in more congested areas. Buyers considering a used 2024 Hyundai Venue should be aware of these reported steering and horn issues, especially at low mileage.
