These issues are often discovered during regular driving, with one owner noting the problem after a trip to Florida. Listing benchmarks establish a market range; trim, mileage, condition, title history and prior damage determine what one vehicle is worth.
The 2024 Chevrolet Malibu posts an 86/100 reliability score, placing it above the segment average and indicating solid overall dependability. With limited recall activity and a low volume of complaints, the data points to a generally controlled reliability profile rather than a model showing widespread problems.
Complaint patterns are not concentrated in a single dominant system. Reports are split between unclassified items and forward collision avoidance, with smaller representation in the powertrain, seats, and electrical system. That spread suggests no single area is overwhelmingly driving owner-reported issues, though driver-assistance-related complaints stand out relative to other categories. As a facelift/refresh year, the available data still reads as stable.
Overall, the Malibu presents a low-to-moderate buyer risk level based on the current reliability indicators.
