ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Complaints frequently mention the dashboard screen shutting down or going blank, rendering features like GPS and radio inoperable temporarily. Additionally, multiple owners describe persistent error messages related to parking brake failure and antenna malfunctions, with some indicating repeated service visits without resolution. Secondly, multiple owners describe a loud grinding noise from the brakes, particularly noticeable when the vehicle is first used from a cold start. This noise is reportedly attributed to rust on the rotors and sticking brake pads, with explanations suggesting environmental factors or long periods of inactivity. Both issues raise concerns about brake reliability, although no crashes or loss of control are reported. Buyers should be aware of these potential brake wear and noise issues, especially in vehicles with mileage around 20,000 to 25,000 miles.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Owners report two main issues with the 2024 Audi Q3. The first involves electronic malfunctions, including a chip malfunction and strange noises from the speakers, which appear shortly after purchase, as noted by one owner. Another owner highlights a safety concern with the automatic unlocking of all doors when the vehicle is shifted into Park, which cannot be disabled and may increase security risks in certain situations. Complaints do not specify any mileage range, but the issues are noted soon after purchase, suggesting they may occur early in the vehicle's lifecycle. No crashes or fires are reported, but the automatic door unlocking feature is flagged as a potential safety risk.
